Airport Navigation AppTypography 2, Spring 2026
During my research for this project, I found a great number of outdated and extremely clunky websites, making it difficult to navigate the already stressful ordeal of air travel. With this in mind, my objective for this project was to create a simple yet beautiful way to get from one place to another.

I created three screens for a hypothetical airport’s app. I made an arrivals, departures, and information page. The top design objectives were to make it intuitive to navigate, clear to read, and accessible to those with disabilities.

Rough Iterations

To begin with, I experimented with the appearance of the individual bubbles. Each bubble needed to contain enough information to tell what flight the user was planning to take, while not being distracting or visually cluttered. The addition of a drop-down box helped with the clutter

Colour Test and Refinements

I chose to do a version of the app in both light and dark mode. I went through several versions to find something that had brand harmony in both modes.
